The Notification Settings module in NOV Insight allows users to create and manage user groups for notifications. This section walks you through creating a new notification group and adding users to that notification group.
Step 1: Access Notification Settings
- Navigate to Notification Settings under the Admin panel in the settings page as below:
- You will see the User Group Settings section with a list of existing groups.
- Click the Create Group button on the top right to add a new group.
Step 2: Creating a New Group
- In the Create New Group window, enter a Group Name in the provided field.
- Click the Add Users tab to include users in the group.
Step 3: Adding Users to the Group
- Select an existing Max User from the dropdown list and click the "+" button to add them.
- To add a new user:
- Enter the User’s Name.
- Provide a valid Email address.
- Select the Country from the dropdown list.
- Enter the Phone Number (if text messaging is supported in your region).
- Click the "+" button to add the user to the group.
Step 4: Configuring Sharing Settings (Optional)
- Click on the Sharing Settings tab to manage group sharing preferences as below:

Choose from two visibility options:
- Private – Only the group owner has visibility of the group.
- Specific Users – Selected users will have access to the group based on assigned permissions.
- In the Manage User Access section, enter the User Email of the person you want to share the group with.
- Select a permission level from the dropdown:
- Can Read – User can view the group but cannot make changes.
- Can Edit – User can modify the group settings.
- Click the "+" (plus icon) to add the user to the list.
Step 5: Saving the Group
- Review the added users and ensure all details are correct.
- Click Save to create the group. The Save gets highlighted only when all the entries are valid and accurately filled.
- If you want to discard the changes, click Cancel.
Additional Notes:
- The system displays a note that text messaging is only supported in selected countries.
- Created groups will be listed under User Group Settings, where you can manage or delete them as needed.
