Pre-requisites:
To add new users to a customer account, the following conditions must be met:
- The person adding users must be a Customer Admin within the customer account.
- The person adding users must also have Admin privileges in the Max Portal.
- The users being added must have logged in to the Max Portal at least once to ensure their account is created in the system.
- The email address of each user is required to assign them to a customer.
Steps to Create a User in Insights
This interface ensures that every new customer is set up with the correct access and permissions from the start.
1. Go to max.nov.com and click on the 3 vertical dots as shown below:
2. Go to the Admin section in max.nov.com
3. Search for the customer you want to add a User
4. Click the customer in the list to get to the details.
5. After clicking the customer,
- You will see the list of users for this customer.
- Click on the "Add User" button on the top right to add a new user.
6. You will then be prompted to add a new user on the "Add User" screen.
Search for the user by email and select from list.
You can add multiple users at once. When you have picked the user(s) you want to add click the "Add" button.
If the user you are trying to add does not show up in the list you will have to ask them to login to the Max Portal once which will create an account.

7. After clicking "Add" you will get a message at the bottom of your screen.
8. For the newly added user, select the "Edit Roles" icon to assign roles to that user as below.
9. Select role(s) and click "Save"
10. Confirmation message at the bottom of your screen after saving
11. You have successfully added a new user and assigned them the appropriate role(s). New users now have access and can log in to the customer account.
