Add a Panel

A panel is a collection of widgets. This feature allows you to create a Panel on the dashboard and opens an interface for adding widgets and configuring the panel as shown below:

Step 1: Add a Panel

  • Click on Add Panel Button or Select Panel to add a Panel to your Dashboard as shown below.

  • A Panel is added to your dashboard as below:


Step 2: Configure A Panel

  • Configure the Panel by Adding Widgets to Panel and through the Widget Set Up Tile as below:


Step 3: Add a Widget to a Panel

  • Select the Add Widget to Panel option as below:

  • Below is a screenshot of a Panel with a Vertical Tank Gauge and Line Chart that can be configured. For configuration details please refer to their individual sections for Gauges and Charts.

  • This will allow you to choose and place any available widget within the panel you've created.
  • Refer to Adding Charts and Adding Gauges article for adding any widget to your Panel.

Step 4: Configure Panel Settings

  • Below is a layout of the Panel Settings to configure the Grid View Settings.

  • Grid Settings
  • The Grid Settings provide options for viewing widgets within a panel:

  • Fixed: Original
    • Widgets retain their original size and position within the panel, regardless of panel resizing.
  • Fit
    • Widgets are automatically resized to fit within the panel while maintaining their aspect ratio.
  • Fit to Width
    • Widgets are resized to match the panel's width. Height may adjust proportionally based on the aspect ratio.
  • Fit to Image
    • Widgets are resized to match the dimensions of the background image applied to the panel.

  • Include Info Icon - Allows user to include any information on the widget that appears through the icon as a tooltip.

  • Display Title
  • Allows users to name the panel and choose the title color, style and alignment (left or center).

  • Override Text Settings
  • Users can customize text settings for a panel by enabling Override Text Settings:
      • Display Name Setting:

        • Text Size – Set the font size (in pixels) for the display name.
        • Style – Choose the text style (e.g., Regular).
        • Color– Choose the color pf fonts.
      • Value Setting:

        • Text Size – Set the font size (in pixels) for the value.
        • Style – Choose the text style (e.g., Regular).

  • Add Link
  • Users can add a link to a panel by enabling Add Link:

    • Link Type – Choose between linking to a Dashboard or a URL Address.

    • Display Name – Enter a name for the link (max 45 characters).

    • Dashboard Name – If linking to a dashboard, enter the dashboard name (required).

    • URL Address – If linking to a URL, enter the full web address.

    • Open in new tab – Check this option to open the link in a new browser tab.

  • Background Image
  • Users can add a background image to a panel by enabling Background Image:
    • Upload Image – Click to upload an image from your computer.
    • Supported file formats – SVG, JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP.
    • Max file size – 25MB.
