Charts play a crucial role in data visualization, helping users interpret trends, compare data, and make informed decisions. The MAX Insight Dashboard provides a variety of chart types to fit different data visualization needs. By selecting the right chart, users can enhance monitoring, compare metrics effectively, and optimize decision-making.

Below are the available chart types in the MAX Insight dashboard, as seen in the screenshot.


1. Line Chart 📈

Purpose:

  • Displays data trends over time using a continuous line.
  • Useful for monitoring live data updates and detecting patterns.

Key Features:

  • Real-time value plotting with a trend line.
  • Multiple data series can be compared on the same graph.
  • Customizable appearance, including color, interpolation, and axis settings.

Use Cases:

  • Monitoring sensor data (e.g., RPM, temperature).
  • Tracking trends over time.
  • Analyzing performance metrics in industrial applications.


2. Bar Chart 📊

Purpose:

  • Represents categorical data using rectangular bars of different heights.
  • Ideal for comparing different variables or analyzing distributions.

Key Features:

  • Displays data in vertical or horizontal bars.
  • Helps visualize differences between categories.
  • Can show individual or grouped comparisons.

Use Cases:

  • Comparing monthly sales across different regions.
  • Analyzing machine utilization by department.
  • Visualizing production output over different shifts.


3. Table Chart 🏷

Purpose:

  • Displays structured data in tabular format for easy reading.
  • Useful for reviewing historical logs, events, or summary reports.

  • Works well for detailed record-keeping.

Use Cases:

4. Advanced Table 📋

Purpose:

  • An enhanced version of the standard table with multi-variable data relationships.
  • Allows for better data organization and interactivity.

Key Features:

  • Advanced filtering and sorting options.
  • Customizable column settings.
  • Ideal for handling large datasets.

Use Cases:

  • Analyzing multi-factor industrial reports.
  • Viewing inventory levels with additional context.
  • Generating custom analytics tables.


5. X-Y Plot (Scatter Plot) 🔵

Purpose:

  • Displays relationships between two variables using points on an X-Y axis.
  • Ideal for identifying correlations and data distributions.

Key Features:

  • Each point represents a unique data pair.
  • Can reveal positive, negative, or no correlation between variables.
  • Helps in pattern recognition.

Use Cases:

  • Analyzing speed vs. consumption.
  • Studying temperature variations vs. energy consumption.
